Biography: 

Sokchea began working as a journalist at local magazines and newspapers in 1997 before joining the Post in 2008. He has reported extensively on politics as well as many other areas. Sokchea has an Associate Degree in Journalism for the Royal University of Phnom Penh. He has travelled to Thailand to pursue further training in reporting on natural disasters and was also taken on a United States Department of State sponsored trip to observe the US election campaign. In 2007 Sokchea was awarded second prize by the United States embassy supported Internews Network awards for the best story covering the Khmer Rouge Tribunal. Outside of work Sokchea likes to travel around the country, socialise and sing Karaoke.
