Artefact find delays Naga project in Russia

NagaCorp Ltd, the operator of Phnom Penh’s NagaWorld casino and hotel complex, has again delayed the completion of its 1,000-room hotel and casino in the Russian port city of Vladivostok, with CEO Timothy McNally saying the launch will be pushed back another six months and likely run over budget, according to GGRAsia.

In a report yesterday, the gaming news site quoted McNally as saying work on the pilings would begin this month after a delay caused by an archaeological dig around the casino site that had found some artefacts.

The casino complex, being built within the Primorye Integrated Entertainment Zone, is now scheduled to come online in late 2019, with McNally adding that its construction will “probably far exceed” the $350 million budget touted when the project was announced in 2013.
