The Ministry of Economy and Finance will organize its first ever ‘Fintech Stage’ exhibition in Cambodia to promote the digital economy.

The Fintech Stage will join the Cambodia Tech Expo 2022, to be held from November 11-13 at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Fintech exhibition is one four exhibitions to be run by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, said an economy ministry press statement.

“This forum is aimed at supporting and fostering the digital economy and financial technology in Cambodia through the mobilisation of national and international regulators, private enterprises and relevant stakeholders to connect, and better understand FinTech trends and innovations,” it said.

The ministry said this will be Cambodia's first ever annual FinTech expo. It will be attended by senior officials and executives from the economy ministry, the Digital Economy and Business Committee, the National Bank of Cambodia, the Techo Startup Center and the Cambodian Association of Finance and Technology. Banks, micro-finance institutions, universities, research institutes, development partners, as well as several private enterprises will also be in attendance.

“The public will also be able to watch a range of presentations and discussion panels on digital banking, InsurTech, the launch of Cambodia Distributed Ledger, Web 3.0, cyber security in finance, and more. They will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of distinguished experts from national and foreign regulators, banking and financial institutions, insurance companies, and associations,” it added.
