Firm behind Kirirom resort gets new funding

Japanese development firm A2A Town Cambodia, which operates the vKirirom Pine Resort in the Kirirom National Park in Kampong Speu province, has successfully secured $5.3 million in fresh investment through the third party allocation of new shares, according to a release yesterday in the Japan Times.

According to the release, the investment will be used to greater develop the company’s Kiririom Institute of Technology (KIT), the resort’s leisure facilities and strengthen the firms operating structure and marketing plan.

A2A Town Cambodia was granted a nearly 10,000-hectare economic land concession from the government in the Kirirom National Park in 2012, and has a $340 million plan that over 20 years aims to develop numerous hotels, a shopping mall and The vKirirom Nature City.
