Metfone deputy general director Cao Manh Duc on Wednesday led a delegation to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) to hand over 700 roaming and internet-enabled SIM cards for Cambodian athletes and delegates to use during the SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The Cambodian athletes and delegates will join the 31st SEA Games in Hanoi from May 12 to 23.
Metfone, a leading company in Cambodia for telecoms and digital technology, has provided the team with SIM cards with roaming and internet data services as well as call minutes -- part of its efforts to support the national team.
“As a private company that has been operating in Cambodia for over a decade, Metfone has always been proud to contribute back to Cambodian society. This time, we support the Cambodian athletes and delegates with SIM cards so that they can use mobile phone and internet services for free during the 31st SEA Games mission in Vietnam.
“We wish the Cambodian delegates and athletes a safe trip and stay in Vietnam and bring home success and experience for the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 when Cambodia will be a host,” said Cao Manh Duc.
Metfone is a leading player in the industry with the largest infrastructure serving some nine million Cambodians.
