The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport oversees education at national level and it delegates the authority to provincial departments to manage the education at the sub-national level.

The ministry is also involved in developing sport, information technology-related studies, research and development, and technical education. The Cambodian government is modernising the education system by promoting digital learning to respond to the growing needs of the global industry.

The Ministry of Education has partnered with Metfone – a leading company in the telecoms and digital technology sector – to develop the School Information System (SIS) to digitalise education in Cambodia.

The SIS system makes learning more effective and productive. The user-friendly system that fully utilises digital features opens the door for schools to the digital world and serves as the best alternative for students to learn remotely.

The SIS Cambodia app is developed to improve students’ online learning, perform their homework effectively and easy-to-review classes if they miss their regular lessons.

Parents and school directors can rely on the SIS app to track students' progress, monitor their attendance, homework, reports prepared by teachers and students' academic achievements.

This mobile application is beneficial to the students’ development and also helps in the administration of schools. School administrators can store valuable information in the SIS archiving system.

Metfone's SIS Cambodia makes education safer, simpler and more cost-effective for students, parents and schools, and this innovative mobile application is set to enhance digitally-based education in the Kingdom.
