Prudential Cambodia, PillTech partner to drive online healthcare, insurance access

To make insurance more accessible and affordable for Cambodians, Prudential Cambodia, the largest life insurer in the Kingdom, has partnered with PillTech Solutions Co, Ltd.

Pilltech – a Cambodian ICT Award winner – is an online pharma marketplace providing one-stop shop solutions for all pharmacy needs.

To support this partnership, Prudential Cambodia and PillTech are installing innovative insurance selling machines (ISMs) within PillTech’s pharmacy network.

“As not all Cambodians have regular access to stable, high-speed internet connections, we now go the extra mile to bring protection solutions to local communities through our insurance selling machines.

“We are keeping our promise to bring insurance protection to local communities with these insurance selling machines.

“And this is only the beginning – there will be more to come,” said Sanjay Chakrabarty, CEO of Prudential Cambodia, at the launch of the insurance selling machines at Rosewood Phnom Penh on September 2, 2022.

PillTech is Cambodia’s first health tech start-up that focuses on improving the Kingdom’s pharmaceutical distribution networks by creating a platform to help improve medication safety and accessibility, with more than 3,000 drugs available at the click of a button.

To date, PillTech has more than 2,000 pharmacies as members using its online pharma marketplace.

In Cambodia, pharmacies – easily accessible and affordable across the country – are at the frontline when patients seek medical care.

And as the leading life insurer and the most innovative life insurance company in the Kingdom, the partnership between Prudential Cambodia and PillTech is a natural and perfect match.

As part of the partnership, PillTech is giving Prudential’s PRUMySafety digital insurance solution to 500 of their selected pharmacy customers.

Prudential’s PRUMySafety – an affordable plan that starts from as little as $7.25 per year – is a personal road accident insurance package that provides protection against road accidents for multiple types of vehicles.

PRUMySafety comes with easy purchasing, convenient online claims and various coverage benefits.

“PillTech’s mission is to bring quality, affordable and accessible healthcare closer to everyone, starting in Cambodia.

“We share the same values as Prudential Cambodia when it comes to this goal,” said Dr Chea Vireak, co-founder and CEO of PillTech.
