To celebrate the opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the branch, graced by HE Rath Sovannorak, Assistant Governor and Director-General of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of Cambodia, accompanied by Sathapana Bank CEO Fung Kai Jin.

With more than 170 branches across the Kingdom, Sathapana is dedicated to serving #Every-dayBankingConvenience to the people of Cambodia, with the new branch offering individuals and the business community of Phsar Thum Thmei a full suite of banking products.

These include the Smart Savings Account, Flexi Lending, Sathapana Neary credit cards, international money transfers, 24/7 ATM and Cash-In self-service facilities, and many more.

Fung Kai Jin said Sathapana Bank is set to serve even more Cambodians with its #EverydayBankingConvenience, as it continues to invest in the Kingdom’s talent and contribute to its economic growth.

“We have a strong work-force of more than 4,000 Cambodians. In our next three-year transformation plan, Sathapana will continue to hire and invest significantly, contributing to the economic growth of Cambodia.

Situated opposite the iconic Phsar Thum Thmei market – the historic landmark in the heart of Phnom Penh – Sathapana Bank’s newest corner-lot branch boasts a prominent and curved facade with a floor-to-ceiling glass window boldly framed in a robust structure in vivid blue, Sathapana’s signature colour.

Inside, the branch’s minimalist appearance and feel welcomes customers into a cosy yet functional interior, breaking away from the standard over-the-counter design.

Vertical wooden slats adorn the walls to give the space a contemporary and warm look and feel. The floor-to-ceiling glass window allows natural light to illuminate the interior, adding a different depth and dimension to the banking space throughout the day.

The centrepiece of the interior is a signature spiral staircase that takes customers to an event space above and the Women In Business corner.

Ryan Kong, Sathapana Bank chief retail banking officer, said: “Our new Phsar Thum Thmei flagship branch is conveniently located, and staffed by a caring team of financial advisers and knowledgeable experts to assist customers.

“Choosing locations close to our customers is a priority, and we wanted our new flagship branch to not only look modern, but also inviting and comfortable.

“We look forward to meeting more of the residents and businesses that make the Phsar Thum Thmei area such a thriving place to live and work.”

And the Phsar Thum Thmei branch’s stylish, modern appearance is just the beginning, he added.

“Sathapana Bank’s Phsar Thum Thmei branch is the first flagship branch in Phnom Penh with a modern makeover.

“We are expanding our retail footprint to include an additional 13 new locations in key areas across Cambodia, with seven existing branches to go through a similar makeover to improve the retail banking experience.

“Customers can look forward to banking with Sathapana Bank at the new or existing locations nearest to them, whether at Aeon Mall Meanchey, Phsar Tuol Tompoung, Phsar Chas, Phsar Chuk Meas, Stung Meanchey, Prasat Bakong and Sihaknoukville, among many others,” Ryan Kong said.

Together with the launch of the new branch, Sathapana Bank also officially unveiled its new staff uniforms.

The design is the result of a collaborative effort among internal team members and went through a rigorous process before going into production to ensure staff felt comfortable in the new uniform.

For the ladies, the uniform is a dark blue jacket with peplum – inspired by traditional Cambodia outfits – worn over a white shirt.

Female staff have the flexibility of wearing either a dark blue skirt or long pants, for convenience while moving around and freedom when commuting, while for men, the dark blue jacket is worn together with white shirt and tie.
