Wing Bank marks milestone with new Sihanoukville branch

Wing Bank opens its latest branch in Sihanoukville, as the province transforms into a multi-purpose special economic zone

Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc has officially launched its Sihanoukville branch, in the esteemed presence of HE Rath Sovannorak, the National Bank of Cambodia’s assistant governor and director-general of banking supervision.

HE Mang Sineth, the deputy governor of Sihanoukville province, and Neak Oknha Kith Meng, chairman of Wing Bank and CEO of Royal Group of Companies were also in attendance, along with other distinguished guests.

“We believe that the presence of Wing Bank in Sihanoukville will help boost business activities and take the local economy to the next level.

“Furthermore, the services provided by Wing Bank will ease the financial process in the community – the people, business owners and corporations – helping them perform their financial transactions quickly and efficiently,” said HE Mang Sineth.

During its 14 years of operations, Wing Bank has grown from humble beginnings into a large-scale operation, offering a wide range of financial products and services to improve the lives of Cambodians nationwide, both digitally and physically.

“On behalf of HE Chea Chanto, the governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, and myself, I would like to congratulate the management of Wing Bank for their highly valued efforts, especially the support from shareholders in expanding the business operations network in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

“I strongly hope that Wing Bank will bring cutting-edge technology and more new financial products in line with new innovations in financial technology to meet the current and future demands of customers, and continue supporting the development of the banking sector in Cambodia,” said HE Rath Sovannorak.

Despite facing challenges, most recently the global pandemic, Wing Bank has always shown a dedication to providing convenient services to its customers.

After the announcement of its commercial banking licence in April last year, Wing Bank in March launched two new branches in Phnom Penh – the Independent Monument Branch and the Sen Sok Branch.

“By opening the Sihanoukville branch, I am proud to say that Wing Bank is living up to its motto of becoming ‘the Bank for Every Cambodian’.

“Wing Bank is always striving to improve financial inclusion and literacy in Cambodia. I humbly believe we are ready to take further steps forward to support our community,” said Neak Oknha Kith Meng, chairman of Wing Bank and CEO of the Royal Group of Companies.

Han Peng Kwang, the CEO of Wing Bank said: “Our vision is to improve the daily lives of Cambodians through convenient access to financial services and products.

“Through this branch opening, we hope to contribute even more to the development of the community. The people of Sihanoukville can now access financial services both for their family needs and also business operations.”

And while the launch of the Sihanoukville branch is significant, Wing Bank is also celebrating another major milestone – the 14th anniversary of Wing Bank’s operations.

What’s more, the “Wing Bank Digital Mastercard World” has also been introduced, representing Cambodia’s first ever pure metal and numberless debit card.

Cardholders are entitled to a premium card experience – and a wide array of specially curated global offers from Wing Bank and MasterCard.

A small selection of loyal customers will be invited to be the first owners of this limited-edition card.
