Do Forni is recognised as one of the capital’s most authentic Italian restaurants. A stunning menu by renowned consultant chef Fabrizio Aceti offers contemporary and innovative cuisine complimented by an extensive selection of more than 60 wines. The open-kitchen concept offers guests a glimpse of the masterful workings of an Italian Brasserie, with chefs plating up everything from fresh pasta to blue river prawns, parma ham, truffles and Canadian lobster. Light oven-baked pizzas feature tantalising toppings such as foie gras and porcini mushrooms, while truly dedicated Italian lovers will appreciate the Serrano ham that has been aged for 20 months before being cut by hand. Other offerings include potato gnocchi, salmon carpaccio and rich cuts of Wagyu and Black Angus beef.

Originally from Piedmont, Fabrizio Aceti has three decades of experience, working in some of the finest Italian restaurants in Europe and Asia. He travels throughout Asia extensively, flying into Phnom Penh each month to share new recipes and ingredients.

Recipes passed on through the generations of Chef Fabrizio’s family ensure sauces are bursting with flavour, exciting the taste palate upon every bite. Guest chefs descend on the restaurant throughout the year to host special set-course dinners, celebrating key ingredients from Italy. The events entitled ‘Escapade for Gourmets’ have a strong following in the capital, selling out days in advance as passionate culinary enthusiasts snap up their tickets.

Famous wine houses, along with small family-owned vineyards are represented on the restaurant’s wine list, from some classic wine producing regions such as Piedmont, Lombardia, Veneto and Tuscany. Full-bodied pinot grigio, bold Barolo and robust reds ensure the perfect fusion of food and wine for a truly memorable dining affair.

Located within the luxurious Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, Do Forni offers an intimate atmosphere that is suitable for all, from couples wishing for a romantic dinner through to business entertainment and groups of friends celebrating their time in this most exotic of Asian cities. Next month the hotel is offering a romantic package from 14th – 28th February with accommodation, breakfast, Veuve Clicquot Champagne, late check-out and a four-course dinner at Do Forni included at just $470+++ per couple.

Do Forni is open each day from 6pm-10pm.
