He continued that China also sent experts to provide technical assistance to Cambodian health officials and provided medical equipment, assistance and facilitated the timely purchase of more than 28 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines by the Kingdom.

“Today marks a new era of national pride for the people and government of China as they provide 16 ambulances and some medical equipment to further strengthen the capacity of health facilities to meet the needs of healthcare services more efficiently and safely,” he offered.

The press release noted that the ambulances and medical equipment will be distributed to three national hospitals and four health departments in the capital and provinces.

Wang said at the ceremony that 2023 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of China- Cambodia diplomatic relations and is also the anniversary year for China-Cambodia friendship, which continues unabated.
