Apsara gives nod for home renovations

The Apsara Authority has granted approval to hundreds of villagers’ requests to renovate their homes and build small structures within the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap province.

Apsara Authority spokesman Long Kosal told The Post the total number of approvals has surpassed 1,000 since last year.

The government body, tasked with managing the park, only allows villagers to build small structures like new bathrooms, balconies, fences and small barns to house cattle, chicken or pigs.
