Gov't lifts ban on passengers from India

Cambodia has decided to lift travel ban on inbound Indian passengers and those who travel through India as the Covid-19 situation there has subsided.

The decision will take effect at the onset of August 7, according to an announcement issued late on August 6 by Minister of Health Mam Bun Heng.

“[We] lift the travel ban on inbound Indian passengers and foreigners who travel from or through India or had travelled to India three weeks before their departure to Cambodia by air or land,” Bun Heng said.

He said this has been approved by Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The government first banned Indian nationals and all inbound passengers travelling from or through India on April 27 in light of the spread of the coronavirus Delta variant there.
