Japanese students visit Preah Vihear

A group of 90 students from Japan’s Junior Chamber International (JCI) and Cambodian students visited Preah Vihear Temple on August 3 to learn more about the history of the area. The visit was led by JCI representative Lim Houng.

The National Authority of Preah Vihear said on August 4 that the visit was organised to educate the Japanese students about the value of peace, education and show them the living condition of Cambodian students along the borders, as well as to discover more about the magnificent architecture of Preah Vihear Temple on Dangrek Mountain.

During the visit, JCI Japan also showcased several development projects in the area, such as the construction of hand water pumps, vegetable gardens and fishing ponds. During the visit, they also donated study materials to Khemarak Techo High School.

On behalf of JCI Japan, Lim Houng committed to mobilise more funding and work with the National Authority of Preah Vihear to support community development and education in the Preah Vihear area.
