Man arrested after posting revenge porn

A 27-yerar-old man was arrested on Sunday afternoon in Banteay Meanchey province for allegedly posting a video of himself engaging in sexual intercourse with his girlfriend to his Facebook account.

Major Bun Kimsith, a provincial police officer, said the suspect, Nhim Chantha, from Teuk Thla commune, posted the clip after the girl’s mother had forbidden contact between the couple.

“He was angry with his girlfriend’s mother for stopping her daughter from being involved with him.

He then posted naked photos of her and video clips of them having sex to his personal Facebook,” Kimsith said.

The suspect, once arrested, confessed to posting the explicit content but claimed the photos were edited using another woman’s body, officials said.

Kimsith added that the suspect remains in custody and will be sent to court for questioning this morning.

Last year, a 24-year old male student posted nude photos of a girl to social media and was subsequently sentenced to 10 months imprisonment and forced to pay $1,250 in compensation to the victim.

Chantha could not be reached.
