The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications is pushing for advancements in the country's digital sector.

On July 14, Chea Vandeth, the Minister for Telecommunications, met with several private technology firms at a workshop to explore improvements in the sector.

This workshop attracted substantial attendance, with over 70 participants including state officials and representatives from various companies.

Vandeth took the opportunity to update attendees on the achievements made by the ministry in the sector, which included nurturing human resources, encouraging a move towards advanced digital technology, and fostering friendly competition to drive the local digital industry forward.

"Constructing digital infrastructure, improving mobile phone service quality and telecommunication services are all crucial to meeting growing demand," the minister explained.

During discussions with the technology companies, Vandeth urged firms to apply for technical and financial assistance if they had innovative ideas to launch digital businesses or projects that serve the public interest.
