A last-minute pang of guilt struck three thieves that snatched an old woman’s gold necklace while she was driving home from the market in Khemarak Phumin district in Koh Kong province on Saturday.
The swipe caused the old woman to topple from her motorbike, hitting her head and face against the ground. The thieves reportedly drove 10 metres before turning around to apologise.
Once they were close enough, the woman snatched her necklace back from the thieves, who fled the scene before police arrived. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital.
