Fleeing cheque bouncer heading back to capital

A cheque fraudster didn’t account for the power of mass communication when he was arrested by Banteay Meanchey provincial police, who were alerted about the scam from Phnom Penh officials.

Bouncing a check in the capital early this month, the suspect bounced halfway across the Kingdom.

Mongkol Borei district police received the dispatch, tracked down the cross-country conman, arrested him on Friday and sent him back to the big city to face similarly big charges.
