Scammed woman beats the odds, catches crooks

The big cash prize turned out to be phoney as two people running a fake lottery scam were arrested by capital authorities in Sen Sok district yesterday.

After getting a telephone call saying she had won $100,000, a woman was told she needed to deposit $10,000 to claim her prize.

The cash was wired, but she had a sneaking suspicion it was a con so called up the cops. Police tracked and arrested the swindlers and sent them off to court.
