Scratching the surface of phone-theft epidemic

Conjuring up a bit of Wolverine on Saturday, a 45-year-old was able to apprehend one of the men trying to snatch his phone in Phnom Penh’s Phsar Thmey III commune by scratching the suspect.

When three men on a moto veered close and grabbed for his iPhone, the victim was able to claw one thief to the ground.

Patrolling officers nearby came to make the arrest, and after a round of questioning they headed out to search for the accomplices.
