It was out of the frying pan and into the fire for two suspects arrested for trying to break into homes in the capital’s Choam Chao commune on Saturday night.

After being picked up by the fuzz, the two couldn’t handle their first taste of captivity, opting to leap from the back of the moving police truck rather than face the long arm of the law.

One was immediately injured while another was set upon by a disapproving crowd. Both were sent to the hospital.
