Would-be purse thieves get kicked to the kerb

A capital woman wasn’t taking any nonsense from bag snatchers when she took them down with a single kick in the early hours yesterday.

Driving in Daun Penh district at about 2:30am on the back of her boyfriend’s motorbike, she watched two men swerve close and grasp for her purse.

They failed to get the satchel but did get a booting by their would-be victim that sent them tumbling.

Bystanders and police responded to cries for help and were able to apprehend one of the crooks.

He was arrested and taken in, admitting the scheme had been successful 10 times for him and his escaped accomplice.
