Real estate firm PropNex Cambodia shoots for 150% salesforce growth in 15 months

PropNex (Cambodia) Co Ltd, a fanchise of the largest listed Singapore real estate company, on September 23 held a “grand opening” in Phnom Penh where it affirmed its vision of expanding its network of agents by roughly 150 per cent to 1,000 by the end of next year.

Speaking at the event, PropNex Cambodia managing director Ann Thida said her company offers a variety of services, covering housing and commercial rentals; land investments; and real estate appraisal, consulting, research and management.

The firm will also occasionally release real estate market updates to keep customers up-to-date, she said.

The company aims to offer its staff comprehensive training programmes that reinforce strong teamwork skills and enhance professionalism, as it grows its salesforce from 400 agents to the targeted 1,000 by 2023, she added.

Speaking at the same event, PropNex Cambodia chairman Alan Neo noted that his company entered the Kingdom in May 2021 during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic “because periods like these seem to open new opportunities”, according to a statement issued by the firm.

“Cambodia is an emerging market and there is a lack of professionalism in many agencies … We provide full scope services, from project sales to land and investment to consultancy services. Our goals and intentions for the future is to lead a world class of professionals.

“We want to help lead the next generation. We have been setting up training centres acknowledged by the Singapore government as well as bringing in Singapore’s IT system to Cambodia.

“Many more exciting things are coming up and we hope you will stay and see through it with us. We will continue choosing the right partners, providing full scope of services with due diligence,” he was quoted as saying.

“We [believe] real estate will [see] tremendous progress in the near future.”

The Ministry of Commerce’s business registry shows that PropNex Cambodia was incorporated on July 16, 2021, and lists “Neo Ting Yuan” as its chairman, with a Singaporean postal registered office address.

According to the statement, PropNex is also present in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia.
