The fourth International Sihanoukville Half Marathon will be held on March 8, and is expected to be the biggest event yet, attracting even more participants.
Vath Chamroeun, secretary-general of the National Olympic Committee, said that already around 1,000 local runners and over 100 foreign runners have registered with many more expected to take part.
Chamroeun said that there are many categories in the event with a 21 and 10 kilometre runs, and a family run, as well as fun run over 3 kilometres. “The foreign runners come from 20 different countries.
The event is open to amateur and professional athletes alike,” he added. Sem Phalla, technical president of organising Half Marathon Committee said: “Those wishing to register can contact the NOCC in Phnom Penh.
