Celebrations, giveaways as Courtyard by Marriott in Siem Reap turns one

This coming month Courtyard by Marriott in Siem Reap will celebrate their one year anniversary. The sleek award winning Khmer architecture, sits in beautiful juxtaposition to the nearby world heritage listed ancient city of Angkor, and the archaeological park.

The first year, although challenging has proved to be rewarding for the resort.

“Though it has been extremely competitive to compete with other Hotels in the area ... we were able to make our resort stand out against other properties.”

As Cambodia’s first Courtyard resort, Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap boasts a spacious and beautifully appointed open plan foyer that leads through the resort, welcoming visitors into it’s well ventilated, chic, and cool interior of the beautiful lounge.

“In addition to our culture and inviting food offerings, a key focus for every experience in our property is the spaces we offer. Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort purposefully designed the property to encourage connection and collaboration, and a welcoming spirit that inspires and re-energizes guests.”

Along with their lobby lounge and the khmer fusion cuisine at Lok Lak restaurant, Courtyard also has a rooftop bar, Upper Deck. It is a wonderful place to watch the sun set while enjoying breathtaking views and delicious drinks.

“UpperDeck has been very popular with the locals and local expats as well due to it’s chic surroundings, completely unique to Siem Reap and live music daily.”

Visitors to Upperdeck can use free binoculars to see the astonishing city of Angkor Wat, its many temples and the surrounds of Siem Reap, without having to pound the pavement or leave your beverage. Upperdeck welcomes resort guests and the public, making it a destination in its own right.

The resort has developed into more than just a hotel, offering points of difference when compared to its competitors, “Travelers didn’t have a reason to explore this side of National Road 60 until the opening [of] our Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort. We are not just another hotel that opened in Siem Reap but another destination of its own to explore.”

In their first year Courtyard by Siem Reap visitors have reported that their experience in Siem Reap was elevated by staying at Courtyard due to “The overall customer service experience and hotel design strategy with comfort of an international brand, amenities and service they can trust.”
